Umedia is a Belgian studio specialized in the production of international film projects Its activities
include production, co production, financing and visual effects.
The studio is ideally located in the popular Louise Châtelain district of Brussels.
To reinforce our team, Umedia is looking for a Digital Matte Painter to join our studio in Brussels.

Your tasks & responsibilities
- You contribute to the realization of visual effects on live action films and series by creating
photo realistic matte paintings to combine with other VFX on the projects - You meet deadlines while retaining a high quality of work
- You are familiar with pipeline issues
- You propose artistic and technical solutions for the project and have good problem-solving skills
- You work as a team member and communication with a supervisor of a sequence

- You live in Belgium or you are willing to relocate in Belgium
- Previous relevant experience as DMP in a VFX “realistic” environment (not “animation/cartoon”)
- Great deal of realism, as your work is intended to be featured in VFX for live action projects
- Extensive knowledge of matte painting techniques including color space, digital paint and photo realistic collage techniques
- To be skilled in photography with an accent on compositing, depth, live interaction and color
- Working knowledge of Nuke and Photoshop
- Knowledge of Maya is helpful
- Ability to manage priorities and bring multiple within a deadline
- Be patient and able to concentrate for long period and pay attention to details
- You have excellent communication skills and you are a good team member
- You are rigorous and detail-focused
- You are eager to learn and develop professionally
- You are fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is an asset)
- You live in Belgium or you are willing to relocate in Belgium
