Mid/Senior Pipeline Developer

Department : Pipeline
Location : Brussels (Hybrid work: minimum 3 days at the office)
Contract : Full-time 6 months fixed-term (possibility of permanent position afterwards)


Your tasks & responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain tools and scripts that enhance the functionality and efficiency of our VFX pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the Heads of Department to ensure pipeline solutions align with project needs and creative goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues promptly to ensure smooth production workflows.
  • Create and maintain custom tools and extensions within standard DCC software packages (Maya, Houdini, Nuke) to support creative and production teams.
  • Ensure tools are well-documented and user-friendly for artists and other technical departments.
  • Oversee the management of data throughout the pipeline, from data ingest to client delivery.
  • Develop and maintain workflows that streamline inter-department collaboration and ensure proper data flow between creative departments.
  • Provide daily support to artists and production teams by troubleshooting technical issues and offering workflow solutions.
  • Communicate with the Production team to integrate and optimize tracking solutions within the pipeline.
  • Continuously improve pipeline performance and efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Ensure the pipeline is scalable to meet the demands of multiple simultaneous projects.

Skills required

  • Previous experience in a VFX/Animation or related industry (Games, AR/VR, etc.), with at least 3 years of experience for mid-level and 6 years of experience for senior-level candidates.
  • Expert knowledge of Python (C++ is a plus) 
  • Knowledge of 3D computer graphics and animation software such as Maya, Houdini, and Nuke. 
  • Strong command of the QT framework (Python flavors: PyQT, Pyside,…) 
  • Proficient in Linux (Bash script) 
  • Familiarity with Git version-tracking 
  • Some knowledge of Web development, Autodesk Flow Production Tracking or Ftrack and understanding of colour workflows, USD, and ML tools are a plus.
  • You have excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to provide creative solutions while maintaining technical fidelity and user-experience balance.
  • Preferred: Strong interest in the Movie and TV industry. 
  • You are fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is an asset)
  • Willingness to work on-site in Brussels, Belgium, with part-time remote work negotiable.
